Alexander JAM (Junior Appalachian Musician) is a low-cost, after school program that teaches children traditional and old-time music.
Alexander JAM youth meets on Tuesdays from 4:00–5:00pm at The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Educational Complex located at 70 Hiddenite Church Rd, Hiddenite, NC. Alexander JAM adults and parent classes follow after the youth class from 5:00-6:00pm. Great fun for the entire family to learn to play traditional, old-time music together.
We are always on the lookout for instruments, instrument donations and instructors to keep the programs going. Also, we are always looking for additional instructors to help grow this program.
